Manuka Honey

The health benefits of Manuka honey are a consequence of the honey’s ability to kill pathogenic or unhealthy bad bacteria and let the body’s own healthy bacteria flourish. Currently we do not know what the bioactives in the Manuka honey are that kill these bad bacteria, but there are three markers of Manuka honey quality that other manufacturers commonly use – KFactor measures the level of Manuka pollen grains in the honey, Unique Manuka Factor (UMF) and Methylglyoxal (MGO) measure levels of compounds found only in Manuka honey. While these markers confirm the origin of the honey none of these markers measure the ability of the Manuka honey to maintain healthy bacterial balance.
The best way to know if Manuka honey is active or not is by measuring its ability to kill pathogenic bacteria. FREZZOR UFF1000 is a proprietary blend of natural anti-bacterial plant extracts added to FREZZOR New Zealand Manuka Honey to enhance and guarantee its anti-bacterial activity. Neither Kfactor, UMF or MGO measure the health benefiting activity of the honey in the way that UFF1000 does.
